[Case Study] Easy-to-Clean Open and Close Lid

For stirring tanks with immersion heaters! A case where the risk of contamination during medium preparation has been reduced.

This is a custom-made example of a lid for a stirring tank used for culture liquid (water + powder) supplied to a pharmaceutical manufacturer. The customer used a standard tapered container and also utilized a standard accessory sealed lid. However, since the lid had no opening, it was necessary to open the lid every time a submersible heater or stirrer was used, which made the work difficult. Therefore, a specification for an easy-to-clean opening and closing lid was adopted. When adding powder, it prevents the powder from scattering, and the stirrer and submersible heater can be used without having to leave the lid open. [Issues] - The customer used a standard tapered container and a standard accessory sealed lid. - Since there is no inlet on the lid, the lid must be removed when adding powdered materials, which causes the powder to scatter as it opens fully. - Because there is no opening in the lid, it is necessary to open the lid every time a submersible heater or stirrer is used, making the work difficult. *Other examples can be viewed via "PDF Download." *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Temperature Control Unit with Jacketed Stirring Vessel

Heating by steam is also possible! A case study that adopts the "separate type" to reduce total costs.

This is a custom case of a container capable of stirring 100L of liquid containing insoluble powder delivered to a pharmaceutical manufacturer. When there is a need to heat the inside of the container with warm water and stir, it is often proposed to combine the stirring function and temperature control function into one unit, like the "HU" heater unit. However, in this product, a separate type has been adopted. The temperature control unit is mounted on a cart, making it easy to move to the required process. Although it incurs higher costs compared to an integrated stirring and temperature control container, it can lead to reduced equipment costs in the long term. [Case Overview] - Consists of a jacketed stirring container and a temperature control unit (warm water circulation device). - A manual tank ball valve is used for the outlet. - A Bernoulli flow stirrer is adopted, which is less likely to incorporate air and allows for uniform stirring. - Changing the rotation speed is easy with the standard controller. - Both the stirring container and temperature control unit are equipped with "ECK" insulation covers. *Other cases can be viewed via "PDF Download." *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Explanatory Material] Is stainless steel really clean?

BA material, 2B material, buff polishing, electrolytic polishing... A grand reveal of stainless steel surfaces that cannot be discerned by the naked eye!

Smooth, rough, silky... Depending on the material and surface finish, stainless steel shows various appearances. However, it is not possible to see what the actual surface looks like just by visual inspection. Therefore, this time, we will introduce photographs of stainless steel surfaces taken using a scanning electron microscope (SEM). *What is a scanning electron microscope (SEM)?* Unlike optical microscopes (such as magnifying glasses and general microscopes) that use light, a scanning electron microscope uses electron beams. It allows us to clearly see fine surface structures that cannot be observed with optical microscopes.

[Explanatory Material] What is the "Method of Addition" to Suppress Foaming?

I conducted an experiment on the method of adding that suppresses foaming.

Foaming can cause various troubles depending on what is being handled. For example, if the foam does not dissipate, you cannot proceed to the next process, and you may need to insert a defoaming or degassing step, or wait for the foam to dissipate naturally. This hinders work and is inefficient. In other words, even a slight reduction in the amount of foam can lead to improved work efficiency. This document summarizes the experiments conducted on "methods to suppress foaming during input."

[Explanatory Material] What is a "Heat Exchanger" that can efficiently cool fluids in a space-saving manner?

We introduce stainless steel tanks essential for craft beer brewing and space-saving heat exchangers.

Our company manufactures and sells tanks for craft beer. Depending on the manufacturing process, we offer three types of tanks for boiling, mashing, and fermentation. To make it easier for those who are considering starting a craft beer business to introduce equipment, we also propose and sell other related devices as a package. One of these is the "heat exchanger." A heat exchanger is a device that transfers (exchanges) thermal energy from a fluid at a higher temperature to a fluid at a lower temperature, similar to an air conditioner or radiator. Recently, we visited "Nihasan Seisakusho Co., Ltd.," which holds the top share in the domestic market for plate heat exchangers and whose products we also handle. This document will explain the basics of the heat exchangers introduced during our visit and our craft beer tanks.

At Respect Co., Ltd., due to the expansion of production volume, there were limitations in processing with three small heating units, and there were burdens associated with transferring containers and manual stirring. In this case study, we will introduce how the introduction of a heater unit enabled bulk processing of 200 liters and revised the process to combine heating and stirring. We are considering the specifications while confirming the heating capacity and stirring conditions during pre-introduction tests.

[Example] Helur-style pressure vessel with mixer and lifter

Mixing raw materials for the formulation while cooling! Introducing a custom case of a stainless steel pressure vessel.

We would like to introduce a case where we custom-made a "Heller-type pressure vessel with mixer and lifter" and delivered it to a pharmaceutical manufacturer. We adopted a magnetic stirrer (mixer) that allows for mixing under pressure (in a sealed environment). The container is equipped with brackets and casters, allowing for movement with the lifter and the casters. 【Features】 ■ Adoption of a magnetic stirrer (mixer) ■ Mixing while cooling the contents with a cooling coil ■ Brackets are attached to the lid ■ A tank bottom valve is used to ensure smooth discharge of contents without residue ■ When checking the condition inside the container, a viewing window and flashlight are used *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Other cases can be viewed from the "PDF Download" section.
